The Cape

Every Fall season I invest in a piece of outerwear. This year, I invested in this Vince cape. 

The cape has a very utilitarian edge, thanks to the heavy zipper and leather trim detail. 

The olive green color is perfect for Fall, and looks great thrown over any look.

Wearing this cape makes me feel like I should be walking the streets of Paris, eating macaroons, and posing in front of the Eiffel Tower. 

Truly, a cape is one chic piece of outerwear!

Autumn Cashmere

To me, Autumn means one thing...cashmere sweaters. 

The brand, Autumn Cashmere is one of my favorites for Fall sweaters! 

Each season, Autumn Cashmere comes out with new fresh and innovative designs to keep their sweaters fun and youthful. 

This Autumn Cashmere sweater, from their 2013 Fall collection, has mini silver skulls sewn on it, adding a delicate detail to an otherwise simple sweater.

Grey, Grey, and more Grey

Grey, no matter how "blah" people say it is, is probably my favorite color to wear.

(Other than pink, of course.)

Grey is not as harsh as black, and I find it looks great on everyone!

These grey camo jeans are the perfect alternative to the classic forest green color. 

Not only are there multiple shades of grey to match them to, the pants pair well with any bright color as well!

To me, the more grey in my wardrobe, the better!

All About Overalls

I don't know about you guys, but I am all about the overall trend!
I'm not going to lie, I was hesitant to get into the overall game at first, but once I found the perfect pair, I became hooked!

These Rag & Bone overalls are quintessential for Fall.
They aren't a classic jean color, which I like; the inky black wash lends a more dressy approach to the basic slouchy overall. Perfect to transition between day and night!

Tanya's clothes embody a youthful spirit with feminine shapes, enhanced with an artful use of colour and prints.

Flowers for Fall?

Wearing a bright flower pattern during Fall is always a tricky trend to pull off.

However, when the flowers are laid over a dark base color, like the burgundy of this sweater, bright flowers for Fall are perfect!

Calgary is experiencing more Fall-like weather allowing us to start pulling out our sweaters and booties!

Wednesday Blahs

Wednesdays: The day of the week that no matter what, I'm tired.

The key to perking up on a Wednesday, other than drinking endless amounts of coffee, is to try and dress up more than usual!

Wearing a skirt makes me feel more put together, making Wednesdays better! 
I think that when one dresses up, it automatically improves ones mood. I am not sure if that is a proven scientific fact, but I like to believe there is truth behind my theory!

Chambray and BF Jeans

Many times I find myself thinking "What type of shirt did I wear before I owned a chambray shirt? Did I even wear a shirt?" 

It's quite confusing because for the past couple years, a chambray shirt has been a staple in my wardrobe. 

Truly, a chambray goes with everything! It can be dressed up or dressed down, and transitional between all seasons! 

Finding the perfect boyfriend jean is hard to do. 

I don't like my jeans too baggy, so finding the "7 For All Mankind, Josefina jean," has been a BF jean game changer. 

They are described as "skinny boyfriend," meaning they have a skinny leg, with room through the hip and thigh!

I always love a good floral print!

A print that has a great selection of colors in it always makes matching easy...and we all know how much I appreciate a good match!

Hey Mickey

I love anything Disney related! 

I was at Zara a few weeks ago and saw the Mickey Mouse ears on this shirt from afar...I knew this shirt had to be mine! 

Keeping this outfit all black and white allows for any statement accessory (in any color), like my blue Moschino belt. 

The belt adds a pop of color and makes the outfit more exciting!

Valentino Trunk Show at Holt Renfrew Calgary

Question: What makes me happier than a pair of new shoes? 

Answer: Not much!

Even though Fall is in full swing, one can't help but dream of new Spring shoes.

Holt Renfrew Calgary hosted a Pre-Spring Valentino Trunk Show. To say every pair of shoes is amazingly beautiful is an understatement! 

Valentino shoes are the perfect mix of girly and edgy. 

The styles are classic and feminine, but the added studs give the shoes an edge!
