Red and Black

Being a "situational dresser" is something I take very seriously, and with Valentine's Day a little more than a week away, the color red has never been more prevalent in my wardrobe.

In general, I'm not what one would call a "sneaker head," but there's something about these Comme De Garcon tennis shoes that make me want to become one!

Red plaid and hearts on my sneakers... I have my Valentine's Day outfit all planned!

Bistro Rouge

I always get excited about a restaurant that serves a great burger and Bistro Rouge does just that!

Don't get me wrong, Bistro Rouge has many options to choose from on their menu, but in my personal opinion, the burger is my favorite menu item!

The meat is ground steak and is prepared to your liking (rare to well done) and served on a brioche bun. The burger does not disappoint!

With the addition of truffle fries accompanying the burger, it really couldn't get any better!

Turtleneck and Loafers

This outfit combines my two favorite things as of late:

1) A turtleneck

2) A pair of loafers

I feel that this outfit is the perfect combination of Winter and Spring, because Calgary's weather is just that; Cool enough for a sweater, but warm enough to not have to wear a pair of boots!

Yogi Bear

I notoriously don't workout.

This New Year's however, I decided to be a cliché and start a new fitness regime in 2015.

So far, so good... As long as I'm dressed cute!

A cute workout outfit motivates me to actually go to Yoga class and commit to it, solely so I can buy more workout attire!

Acid Wash

It's safe to say that I have an extensive jean wardrobe and do not need another pair.

However, whenever there is a new jean trend, I always tend to jump on the bandwagon.

An 80's revival is happening in the denim world, making acid wash jeans a huge trend for Spring!

Acid wash jeans work perfectly with a chambray shirt, but can easily be paired with any color top!

The Nash

Nothing makes me feel less cool than when my parents tell me stories about the 80's, and they were full of stories this past weekend while we dined at The Nash.

The Nash is the revamp of the historic "National" hotel where my Dad would come to Calgary to listen to punk rock bands...Cool right? This is also the same guy that pioneered the double polo shirt.

The Nash is Michael Noble's latest creation and it does not disappoint!

The varied menu will please all palates with its creative combination of flavors!
