Still Happy

It's Victoria Day long weekend, how could one not be happy?!

The Perfect Spring Nail Polish

In the past couple of years, nail art has become very popular with most ladies.
Fashion and nails go hand in hand. If a trend for spring is pastel colors, you can translate that from clothes, accessories, makeup, and to nail polish.
For Spring, I always like a bright color, mainly pinks and reds.

Plaid

To me, the easiest way to look polished and put together is to wear dark denim and a plaid shirt.

Dark denim automatically dresses up an outfit, regardless of what you are wearing on top.

Plaid has never been more "in" which is great for us Calgarians... I mean, I'm sure we all have some plaid at the back of our closets (Thanks Stampede!)

This look is comfy, on trend, and above all easy!

Spring Statement Necklaces

A statement necklace can change an entire look.
They can take an outfit from day to night and will always draw attention.
Not only can you mix up an outfit by adding a necklace, you could also add a scarf, bracelet, belt, the possibilities are endless. Adding an accessory is an inexpensive way to update a look!

Uncrate India

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Alexandra Weston, Director of Brand Strategy at Holt Renfrew. As Director of the H Project, she creates programs to showcase unique products that will build the brand's culture and reputation.

Alexandra was in Calgary to promote her latest project, Uncrate India, which is currently on display in a pop up shop inside Holt Renfrew.

Uncrate India highlights and brings awareness to the culture, crafts and artisans from around India.

The event previewed a variety of beautifully displayed items with the vibrant colors of India, through clothing, scarves, jewelry, tote bags, notebooks, just to name a few. Indian cuisine was served and we also had the opportunity to further immerse into the Indian culture with a local Henna tattoo artist on hand.

Share in Alexandra Weston's latest H Project experience at Holt Renfrew, it will be a lot less expensive than a plane ticket to India!
